Thirty years of professional forestry experience, performing benefit-cost analysis, policy analysis, and resource assessment in public and private sectors, domestically and internationally. Twenty-two years of natural resource economics research, teaching and outreach at Michigan State University.

• Woodland Stewardship: A 21st Century Guide for North Central Forest Landowners, MSUE competitive grant
  • This project involves campus and field extension faculty from Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota in the critical review and revision of the Master Woodland Steward curriculum and textbook.
• Private Forest Landowner Marketing and Management Education
  • Principal instructor and developer of this core program of the Forestry AoE, which is offered multiple times per year. The curriculum includes timber sale marketing and contracting for income maximization and property and income tax minimization.
• Master Woodland Steward
  • Member of the Master Woodland Steward (MWS) Program planning committee and an instructor.
  • MWS is a core offering of the Forestry AoE, is offered annually and is its major PREF program.
• Michigan Conservation Steward Program, participant in curriculum development and instructor for field skills session.
• Michigan Forest Education Alliance founding member.
  • A working group comprised of representatives from organizations that provide education or technical assistance to private forest landowners.
